Missing Basket

Missing Basket

Postby Grimm » Sat Oct 01, 2011 12:49 pm

Played last night and hole 11's basket was gone. Looked as if it was cut off right at the ground.
50 lashes for drinking the groups whiskey isn't steep.

I think $300 would cover it. I'm not real sure about doing it though. If there is no other option I could be talked into it. I would have to do some welding to make it theft resistant and lockable. Wouldn't have time until after the WC tourney sometime. One thing to think about also is an orange one would be a theft target compared to the others. I'm also short on the retainer rings for the bottom of the chains and S hooks. Does Doug have a couple of the new Mach II's? Maybe one of those would work for Jones.

No worries brother, was just curious on possible cost. The baskets doug have are for legion. I contacted the city this morning and am awaiting a reply. Hopefully they are willing to pay for the replacement.

I wanted to go hunt someone down last night when I saw it was gone. Why vandalize something like that? Sigh, people suck. Its officially official. Again.

It might turn up if the word gets out. That is one of the originals. It would be easy to ID.

It's probably next to hole 8's basket that was stolen years ago. He seems to have a collection of stolen baskets. No name needed.

Nope, he got 12 years.

I just took a look @ the post and it seems like there was no saw action, not clean cut marks. Almost as if somebody took a pull strap to a pickup and twisted it off. Also the grass is clean cut so I'm hoping the city mowers hit it and they just snapped it off to fix it.. Doubtful but ill wait for gibbins response.

Just got off the horn with the city and they have agreed to replace the basket whether that be finding an old basket they already have or purchasing a "new DGA mach II"

Not sure on when it will be back in the ground but good news is we don't have to raise the $ this time.
