I picked up a new 170 Star Vulcan and compared it to a beat 167 Pro Boss and a seasoned 165 QOLS. Much to my surprise the Vulcan was the most stable. For my power (350 max) this might prove to be a decent disc. It usually went slightly farther than the Boss and once it went 50' further. Not sure what I did on that throw, but it sure went. It wasn't nearly as consistent as the QOLS but that's not what it's for... Not sure if it will replace the Boss but it does have potential.

I tested on last night at Peninsula on a few shots. The flight really reminds me of a Road Runner. For distance I would aim about 40'-50' left of my target (RHBH) and throw it with a pretty good amount of hyzer and height and it would would flip up to flat and do the RR late turn right for a couple hundred feet then sightly hyzer out at the end. They might make a bomb roller, will have to try that out sometime too. I don't see myself using one, it probably won't roll much longer than a Wraith and the rim is way wide and shallow, not very comfy.

For reference this line was on a little over 400' throw. If you powered down or up (I can't go up really) it would behave quite a bit different. I could see this being used for some tight wooded shots that need to cover a lot of ground. Not for me, but maybe for some.

This. I heard once you throw these, you will toss your katana outta your bag...I agree. Similar flight but longer and faster. Was throwing it around 400 all day at exchange. And Im usually throwing up to 380 on a good day

I think you gained more D in your throws tho too Tyler, at GV I noticed a ton more snap than you used to have at least since last year.

But yeah I forgot all about these, def sounds like Ill need to pick one up.

Possibly...I still only max out at 400 tho on a good day. With this thing I was reaching holes at Exchange that I have struggled with before. Maybe it was the 2 days worth of 5 hour power pumping thru me... But I love it. Right outta the box it will flip over and carry a long way. Flies like a archon/katana only faster and farther. I know you and me both like our flippy drivers, give it a try, you'll like it.

I hope I still have a star one, I know I have a CFR and I lost my CFR Katana yesterday. Going to have to give this thing a try again.

Ive only thrown a star FYI. Id imagine the CFR, like the katana version, is beefier.
