course work

Wow, I wish our city actually helped out with anything. You guys don't know how good you have it. I have to jump through hoops just to be able to weedwhack the rough and spread mulch. Let alone getting the city to actually purchase materials for improvments.(Which will never probably happen) This is me being extremely jealous...

I look forward to playing 14 in a different position again. Same for 12. Me personally, I like 12 in the middle position. I can make a 2, 3, or 4 on any given day. Thanks again for all the work!

I'm amazed at how much garbage I pick up out there on the back side. I fill a trash bag every time I'm out there... :x

Yes sir, Nate and I carry bags around and we always fill them, we are going to try to get a can for 11 and one for 16, we will have to maintain them ourselves, but its worth it.
Anyone who plays should always be aware of the trash and please pick it up as you go on any course, its respectful and karma strikes at the strangest times!

I will be aquiring the lumber friday afternoon and putting the bridges together later that evening. one for hole #1 one for the cross between holes #6 & #7 and one for the swamp in front of hole #17!!!!!

Anyone willing to help in building and placeing be at middle around 330pm! If enough show we can cut up some logs for the walk off of #17 to #18 as well.

Bridge on 17 looks great! I found a shovel there yesterday and picked it up. Let me know if it's yours and I'll get it to you.

will be out this week doing the same on #1 #2 and #13, also going to create a small landing zone around the basket on hole #15, hill has thorns and itch weed! no one should have to shoot 15' putts outta that trash! :o

I'm off from Wed on. I'll keep the shovel with me and give it to you sometime this week. Thanks for all the hard work. You've done a fantastic job!

So latest news on middle is that city gave the aprpoval to move the long pin on 15 away from the ball diamond. I surveyed the area and found a perfect location, 66' shorter and 45' left of the tee pad up into the woods. This spot will play as a long three but an easy four! It will also provide a little character to the hole.

The city has also been out creating a better drainage system for the hill and surrounding areas. This should improve the playability of the hole all year!

Please remeber that no matter where you play be respectful of the course and pick up as you go!

Up coming plans: Improving #2's long pin, digging out drainage for #8's tee pad, clearing the short pin on #15

I can't picture this pin. When you say it's 45' left of the tee pad are you referring to 16's tee pad? So it will be 45' further into the woods past 16's tee pad? Sprague, did you have anything to do with this??

Sorry let me clear it up, if you are in line (line of sight) with 15's tee pad looking at its current long pin location, it is 66' shorter and 45' to the left. I already have the area cleared out and marked with a blank white sign! Next time your out check it out. It will play like this, tee off and throw your bomb down near the middle pin location the throw you "whippet" up the hill into the woods and tap in for three!

The location for the basket will be right at the edge of the hill where the tree line is now (to the left) and will have 3 lg trees as a backstop or to kick you disc back down the hill depending on how aggressive you are!

Still plays as a par 3.5 but is a lot sexier, and avoids the far ball diamond!
