I am currently working with the city of Bettendorf to try and organize a few course work days before the QCC. My goal is to get this course up to par and can do so with a little hard work and sweat. Anyone willing to help please pm or post here and i will let you know the dates and times.

At the course now with the city, they are clearing out the back nine for us. Still needs some weed whipping. Any one willing please feel free to throw some casual golf and whip as you go. Also if available SAT afternoon I will be improving the transfer between hole 15 and 16 and from 17 tee to the pin. 230pm til I die!

Course is looking great! still needs TLC. I am trying to work out a deal for a few bridges as well as get some mulch for the muddy areas. Thank you Nate for assisting with the steps and improvised foot bridge on 17! hole 13 got a make over today and the alternate pin locations are cleared out. Again SAT work day on 15/16 230pm for any one willing to help. She will soon be back in her prime.

I'm anxious to check out all the work. Thanks for all your efforts! I try to take a trash bag with me and clean up the back side.

Here's a question for everyone. Would it be a good idea to open up the left side of the fairway on hole #11? If it was cleaned up, say 10 feet, would that be a good idea? I'm only talking about where the tee shot lands, not the whole length of the hole. Like up to 350' off the tee, where the swamp is when it rains a lot.

Steady, from my understanding the city doesn't want to remove the "marshland"we could probably cut lines into the grass to make it easier to locate discs but can't cut the whole thing down.

Yeah. The Corps of engineers is death on draining wetlands. Ask any farmer.
and... "It doesn't make any sense" doesn't make any difference.

Cool, thanks for getting that info out to us. I can understand protecting the wetlands.

Lots of work done out there on the back side for sure. I see we lost some guardian trees to 12's right basket location. That's too bad. You're right, the course is looking very good.

Got a chance to play middle today, and the back is looking great! Thank you everyone for all the hard work youve put in so far.

Let me know when you plan on going back out there and ill join you. Id like to clean up 14s fairway to the long, probably only half hour to 45 min of cutting to get that done. Theres also some downed trees on 12s right pin that could be cut up and moved.

BT, is the city going to clean up any of the brush piles on the back? I saw they had their brush mower back there, it would be nice if they could get rid of some of the stuff we are gonna be cutting up

Working on getting the city to mulch up as many of those piles as we can, no reason to waste good materials. I will let you know as soon as they get back to me!

Spent today clearing hole 14 with Jason and Bsald, thank you guys for the help, we improved the water flow befor the long pin and reconstucted the bridge, also trimed the downed tree. We didi get some temporary steps cut in between 15 and 16 aswell.

I will be out there tomm weed whacking on holes 14-17 doing some touch up! waiting on the city to set up a time to spray both courses!

FYI they did brush hog Devils Glenn as well and it is ready for some serious TLC, after the QCC of course!!!!

Gene, I am wondering if i could enlist your help again. I would like to clear the rest of the fairway on 14 all the way to the creek and could use you weed KILLING machine. If you are available today i will be out there until 330, and will be out again on thursday.

Evan, I could use your tree cutting expertise on removing a few dead ones on 14, again i will be out there all day today until 330 and on thursday as well.

The city just approved me to purchase the materials for bridges and will be posting soon on when I will need help assembling and placing them!
