Spring Break (3/12-3/16)

Postby Single L » Wed Mar 07, 2007 7:44 pm

I have taken next week (March 12th-16th) off for spring break. I will be in Des Moines all week. The Girlfriend is interviewing at Drake, I will be Job hunting, and of course I will be throwing a lot of plastic.

If anyone from Des Moines is up for a round any time Monday-Friday let me know. Here’s the sad news; in 7 years of DG I have yet to play Ewing or Pickard, so hit me up and show me how it’s done.

Meet as many people as you can and talk to all of them about the possibly impending BW league.

I will be out of town but have fun and play all the courses, not just those two.

I'd go out to Pickard on Tuesday. I assume it'll be dry by then. The big melt starts tomorrow.

by dry he means less to no snow, I don't think there will be a "dry" course in the state for the next two months. (i.e. put on your mud flaps)

Exactly, Jay! lol!!!

Is playing on the wet courses going to tear them up?

Half the snow melted today, the other half will melt tomorrow, and the only thing left will be shady areas and piled up areas. Then there's Saturday. Then there's Sunday. At this point I'm sure it would be pretty sloppy still by the creekbeds. Oh, but then there's Monday to get drier still. And finally my patience will pay off on Tuesday. BTW, did you guys remember that I was talking about Pickard which is one of the most wide open courses in the state? Half the fairways are already snow free today.

And if all that fails, I will just drive down to KC on Wed and fly to Austin to play there Thu, Fri and Sat. Then I might play KC again on my way back. Don't get all the teepads muddy while I'm gone.
