Course Conditions

Postby Budhyzer 17696 » Mon Jun 28, 2010 9:15 am

The course has really held up well despite all the rain we have been getting. There are a few slick spots but overall good.
More mulch is needed in some areas and we will address that; hopefully soon.

But........with all this rain, the mosquito population seems to be at an all time high. I've heard of a couple groups just play the front and leave and a couple guys walked down from #2 saying they just couldn't handle them anymore.

If you plan on playing the course, make sure you have some Deep Woods Off or you will be literally ate alive.

This week being very dry should help a bit with that

Let's hope so Jim.

They are almost as big as birds, so it could be a flock.

The course is drying out which has seemed to help lower the mosquito level somewhat but you still need to bring the bug spray with you.

Just a reminder, the speed limit coming into the park is 15 MPH and once you get past the front gate it slows down to 5 MPH.
I realize it's hard to go that slow but please keep your speed down in the park in respect of the campers, their kids and the county that let us put the course in.

Course looked and played fantastic! The extended tees were nice and I really like the color coding for pin placements on the signs. The bugs were close to unberable and made it difficult to enjoy the round but I'm glad I got back to the course. Can constantly see improvements! Very Impressive fellas.

Gotta love this time of year!
No bugs, thinning brush and no humidity.
The course conditions don't get much better than this.

Come get you some Wildcat Bluff; you know you want to.

Nice job Steve, just need to do #2 through #6 and you're done for a while.
It sure does look nice and we all appreciate it.
We'll get an old John Deere next year and it'll be a lot easier. Hell, I'll mow then, it'll be more fun than work. :D

I'll set the over/under at ten and say OVER!

Stiers, you should be commended for all the hard work you have done at Legion. The courses looked awesome and those benches are HUGE. The number plates are a great touch. Attention to detail takes it from good to great.
All around great job brotha.
