new number plates, need some help please

Postby Abe Froman » Mon May 16, 2011 8:22 am

I am asking for anobody to help me out with a project. We will be installing new nickel and number plates to the baskets (hopefully before doom) and I am requesting help from anybody that will be out @ legion either today or tomorrow to please provide me a list of which baskets are missing the "nickel" or number plates from the baskets. I have all the materials but probably won't get the chance to walk through and find out which are missing until thursday. This would save me a few hours that I don't have to walk the course if I could get a quick list of which baskets need the nickel plates. This will make a sweet project to have all the baskets numbered brightly before doom. Remember the basket #'s skip holes 8 and 9. So after taj it goes to hole 10. 8,9,9a will be installed after doom so please keep that in mind when recording the basket #'s

Thank you to whomever can supply this info. Much appreciated

Just wondering, do they have a replacement kit or did you guys come up with a homegrown version? Also, why are you missing them? Did dicks start grabbing them for aces the way they were grabbing tee signs at Walnut? Just looking for another reason to get down on the world this monday morning, thanks.

Homegrown, and over the years several holes/baskets have been moved, replaced so there are a few that are missing nickel. I assume there are a few that were broken off by helmet chuckers but it's been a while since they got some TLC so time to make it right. I believe there are only a handful that need replacing, but I also have to produce the new labels for the nickel so it's easier if I know ahead of time and don't have to drag all the materials across the course getting it done.

Actually jay, I'm doing this as a reminder to you that there are 20 holes @ legion. Because 20 x 3 = 60 (not 54) ;)

took a walk down there with my daughter and dog and put in about 10 of the numbers.
thanks to kollin and farns for hooking up the info on the plates i couldnt get to. there are still 10 that need to be placed. hope to get those done before doom.

and yes it's 2 different fonts. there were only half of the #'s in the old pile doug had so i tried to get as close as possible with some good ol' MS paint action
