The OS is supposed to be Nuke plus stable and I'll bet the SS is way to flippy if you have any kind of torque in your throw. I have not gotten any yet and have not seen them on the order form.

Thanks, AO. That's what I figured. I don't know what the SS Nuke would be useful for. If it's less stable than an ESP Nuke, it would be pointless, minus 50 MPH tailwinds. The OS wouldn't be bad though.

does the nuke ss have a larger rim or the same as a nuke? The picture on the site makes it appear as if the rim is slightly larger than the nuke. Most likely they are the same was just wondering if anyone could compare the two of them.

i think the nuke maxed out the pdga standard for rim width(no greater than 2.6 cm). The ninja gateway rim was to large for apprv.

We got a nuke ss in the players pack at gbo. It looks almost identical to the nuke with a slightly different nose. Hard to even see the difference.

I picked up a first run Nuke SS at GBO...Only threw it a few times, with real windy conditions, so I cant say for sure if I like it or not. It flies just like my monarch. I wanna know what those flx nukes feel and fly like. Holy shit those things feel like a piece of worn leather in your hand, cant say for sure if I like that or not. I throw a flx drone, but that nuke makes it feel like super firm plastic....

Wouldn't that make it a completely different disc?

It looks the same to me other than the wing sits very low making it very understable. I'm going to give it a shot and report on what I get out of it.

Threw my first run Nuke SS a couple times now....P.O.S.!! I love flippy plastic, and this thing is way too understable for even me. Maybe a different mold will fly better, but I cant keep the thing from turning into a roller with tailwind. Makes my Monarch feel like a destroyer...

Thats what I said the first time I threw the avenger SS. Have you tried to intentionally roll it? It's the only reason I'm even thinking of getting one of these.

Thats a good idea. Ill give it a try. Flies pretty similar to my beat up super flippy starfire/wraiths that I use for rollers.....

Better get it figured out soon. You only have about 8 months left before you retire.
