A floating heavy and fast driver is somewhat intriguing. It would give more confidence to be aggressive on holes like #1 (from the bottom) at Jones or the final approach shot on 18 at Pickard.

What do they do to make the disc float? If they made a floating Teebird and Firebird, I'd probably be willing to pay more than its sinking counterpart.
Force, Wraith, Teebird, Pig, Buzzz, Cobra, Challenger...This week at least.

It would seem to me that the combination of R-Pro plastic and a certain weight based on the type discs (usually around 150g) is what allows a disc will float.

The Dragon has been around for years and has always had an R-Pro like plastic (even though the Innova site calls it DX). The Hydra and Wahoo, both floating discs, are both in R-Pro; and the 135g - 150g R-Pro Boss will float as well (probably not marketed as such due to it coming in weights above 150g).

Here's what Innova says: The R-Pro Wahoo is a long range distance disc golf driver that floats in water and will keep you at the top of the food chain. The Wahoo is a fast golf disc with a lot of glide. It has a flight similar to a Dragon with increased speed and range. The Wahoo is a floating distance driver that will give you the confidence to throw over larger bodies of water than ever before. All R-Pro Wahoos are 169 grams.
