Just a little FYI .....
Pickard is a City Park, not part of the school district. However every City Park and property in Indianola is Smoke-Free. It just happens to be a coincidence that the Indianola HS Cross Country team uses Pickard for its meets and practices.

I get it, kind of like Boulder in Colorado, best to keep those people in one area!

seems like Pro-flite is a distributor of golf discs, will there be a spot to buy plastic Friday or Saturday in the area? It turns out I will be staying north of Des Moines Albian I think... Not sure what kind of interwebz connection is available but I sure would like to find some local stamped stuff to throw in TOTO land!

all good, I am the one posting on your boards... but yes I can play, I am actually hoping to make some IOWA events next year. I havent been to much for the PDGA since it now seems more like a capital driven org rather than a player driven association. but I may bite the bullet next year and pay the ridiculous annual charge to compete again. or I may wait 7 years so I can be age protected

if you're going to be in Albion up by Marshalltown, you're probably better off joining the 'Friday After Thanksgiving' clan which will be playing in Boone and Ames, just straight over (west) on highway 30.

FAT

ProFlight will be at the tournament Saturday at Big Creek.

thank you to everyone this trip was a blast. The course in Boone is definitely a gem and I am very glad I got to play it, I wish I would have played better My partner got to carry me through most of that course. A big hand is deserved for the guys breaking there back to get that course where it is, there has to be over 300 steps on hole 3  .
I also discovered that the trees in IOWA are EVIL, not only did I end up hitting a disproportionate share of them but of the 20-30 tree kicks I got ZERO were friendly, prompting the decision that next year I am bringing a truck and trailer so I can burn IOWA wood in my fireplace from now on! (bring cans up and wood back!)

I ended up playing Ewing Saturday shot 56 and was a little disappointed, the course is awesome defiantly, then I shot Pickard and 58 out there was about 6 strokes worse than I probably should have shot.

Overall the IOWA courses I saw were completely awesome (except for Marshaltown  ) I will most def be back for some course vengeance!

THANK YOU ALL AGAIN!
