This is why I love the disc ....... at the Challenge I was on a card with a guy that had a sick shot with a Nuke and got a deuce that not many people will get ..... he then gave back 2 strokes when he shanked the shit out of it on the next hole

Ive had the best shots of my life with this disc. I think it works best when you only puy 80% into it tho. If you try to rip it as hard as you can, things seem to go wrong

Picked one up in the players pack at Hub City, then used it for about 90% of my drives throughout the tournament. Used it for hyzers, straight, and flex shots, def in the bag now.

Hyzer shots? Were you releasing the disc at a 6/12 angle?

Tailwind hyzers...it seems somewhat flippy tho....but Dave your Nuke has a mind of its own, ive never seen a more inconsistent disc

I have a nuke that will hyzer into a 15mph headwind, one that goes straight, and one that flips in any condition. And all are relatively new. Never know what youre gonna get. The Z nukes seem to be more consistent IMO, but you still get that variance from time to time

Does it have anything to do with the ol' color/stability issue? Were the Nukes in the players pack at Hub City Z's? I havent looked in my bag since then...is there any distance difference with the Z's and whatever else type of run there is for them?

Just pick them based on the parting line height (PLH). Put two discs of the same mold side by side on a flat surface and whichever has the highest line where the mold pieces join will the the most stable. I found a nice beefy Nuke this way, compared 7-8 of them on the shelf at the store for the one with the highest PLH. This one happened to be flat which matched what AO said about the Nukes, flat=most stable, domey=flippiest. The best rule is to compare the PLH for stability in any disc.
