The "Magic"!!

Postby Daddy » Fri Dec 15, 2006 10:29 am

From what I am told, Dave M. has the "Magic" done. It is some form of a beadless wizard. I am also told that it is slightly less stable than the wizard. There are s plastic ones available and soon to be "E" Magics available by the first of the year.

except it's coming out as the Warlock. the Magic will be out later and more understable than the Warlock.

I've got a few (3 175 Glows, 1 170 Glow, 1 170 E), and they fly like a wizard I've used for a month or so. Nose up, they have surprising glide without rising too much with minimal fade at the end I've already hit my roof a few times with one (home for the holidays), so I'll be interested to see how long it takes for this thing to get understable.
The E are very nice; it's flight pattern is similar to me E wizard without the low speed overstability. I can see this disc staying in my bag for sure.

I think its stupid to not call it a beadless Wizard.

I got a couple of Warlocks in the other day to try out. As a putter, they are solid. They had a good predictable slight left fade at the end. It is not as pronounced as the wizard. When thrown for shorts drives it is a super straight disc with very little fade at the end. If you like the wizard, but hate the break in time to make it turn over, then pick up a warlock. Much easier to throw the turn over with. I would say it is a step up in speed and a step down in stability compared to a wizard, thus making a pretty good short range driver.

They won't ship to stores until later this month, but you can check at disc golf review in the sale forums. There are some wholesalers who have them.

I got one of these at the putt down. Way more stable than an aviar. I like it. A much better version of the wizard, bead-less.

I thought bead-less meant less stable.
