take Prairie Du Chien from Dodge street all the way there although i dont know if that will work because it says the construction streches from east of the marina and the article says turkey creek could be closed

The road over the dam was closed on Monday. To get to Turkey, you have to come in from Prairie Du Chen. At some point, they will be paving the parking lot and the road that runs along the course. I think at that time the course wont be "closed", just you'd have to walk in from where ever they close the road.

If coming from CR or anywhere by Ely, Hwy13 or Hwy1 it may be faster to take Newport Road (a few miles south of Solon) then a right on Prairie Du Chen. It only takes me about 5-10 minutes more coming from Shueyville.

Last week I was able to get there from Prairie Deu Chein (don't know how to spell that one). Haven't been there since.

Thanks. I decided to try to get out there this morning, and the eastbound lane is excavated through from the dam to Saddle Club Rd, and right now it is not possible to get a vehicle into the Turkey Creek parking lot (except a high clearance truck, maybe), even if you come in from Prairie du Chien.

You can park by #2 in the marina's lot. Just don't park in front of the garage doors.

Prairie Du Chien is paved all the way to Turkey Creek now.
As of 11/03/2010, the road was still closed at the Devonian Fossil Gorge.

We're gonna be really safe, so if the construction is still happening were just gonna switch Turkey with Penn I think. Right now its looking like Legion, Shaver (or Shaffer as Weaver likes to say  ) and Penn. Should be a good time.

All the roads are paved and open. The signs might say the road is closed, but it's not. They're supposed to take the signs down soon.

And don't listen to Donator; PDC is not faster, unless you are coming from downtown IC.
