Ching - Sniper

Postby Dale Jordal » Fri Jul 09, 2010 8:50 pm

I've had a Ching Sniper in my bag for 6 years until tonight ..... a case of grip lock sailed it into the Winnebago River. I really liked this disc for my long approach shots.

Is anyone familiar with the profile of this disc and knows if it is molded by someone else under a different name -or- if it is close to another disc that is still on the market? I already checked e-bay and there was not a Ching Sniper to be found.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

The Ching Sniper became the Innova Gremlin. Innova discontinued the Gremlin, but brought it back as a CFR only. Now the Gremlin is in full production once again as the Discmania GM.

Ching Sniper = Innova Gremlin = Discmania GM

Hey thanks I knew some of you guys would have the history on this.

Cory guess what I picked up today at the course - A blue WR with a First Class Challenge stamp on it ..... it looks alot like yours even down to your name and PDGA number on the inside of the rim .... I'll hang on to it for you. I hope you will be up in September for the Border Bash.

If you find the Gremlin to be too overstable I would recommend the Panther. While they weren't the same disc, I thought they flew very similarly.

My very first disc I ever bought was a Sniper. Used it for every shot. Thing was brand new and was really understable. Is it really the same mold as a Gremlin?

If I remember correctly, they were more similar to the DX than Champion / Pro Line. The latter had a bigger bead, and a more rounded edge.

That sounds right. The Sniper I had didnt really have a bead on it, kind of Panther-ish.
