wednesday night flights will start on wednesday may 12 at 5:30. I have all of Ron Kendalls paperwork from last year. I will use the same handicaping formula, which i believe is the one that shane uses on mondays. It's 5 bucks with a 1 dollar ace fund. There is still 100$ in the ace fund. I will be paying out 100% of the entry fees each week in cash. I hope to see a lot of you out there for this weekly tournament.

wednesday night flights

Postby Ron u » Thu May 20, 2010 11:28 am

We only had 4 people for the first night of league :( We had fun though. Bill Duvall took home the cash shooting a 64 with a 17 handicap. I was kind of proud of my 56 with a 7 handi, but came up a couple strokes short. Thanks to the four of you who showed up. See ya next week

great turn out last night! 14 people showed up and jeff umbarger was the big winner. He took home the ctp prize and first place, landing him a cool 30 bucks and a one day pass to the principal charity classic. We paid 4 places. Zack Owens, Mitch Lane, and Bill Duvall were the rest of the top 4. Thanks for coming, see ya next week.

wednesday 6-2-10

we had 12 people show up last night, 10 that paid. It sure would be nice to see some des moines and grinnell faces. I lost the phone numbers of some of the guys who used to come, like tom lansing, roy nelson, and claring. I would like to be able to get a hold of these guys if anyone can help. Kyle hill took down first place last night shooting even. we paid 3, aaron chadwick beat dale james in a throwoff for 2nd and 3rd. aaron shot 1 up 55 and I dont recall dale's scratch score. With handi's: Kyle-49, aaron-51, dale-51. WEDNESDAY NIGHT FLIGHTS!!

I am getting lonely in here. we've had more than 10 people every week except week 1. I bet we could have 20 if we could get some new faces. The ace fund is up to about 125 bucks. I would be down to play some league action, but I don't get off work till 5:30 (in west des moines). If it was 6 or 6:30 start time, I'd be down.

That's the way the cookie crumbles I guess.

last year it started at 6. We would be pushing daylight as the summer goes along. it kinda sucks not getting out of there till 9 or so, but i'd consider it. we've been getting done around 8 or 830. i'll see what the regulars think. We have not started on time yet. we usually are teeing off around 5:45-5:50.

We had a great wednesday full of personal bests last night. Doug hill shot a 59(44) to take home 25 bucks. Clint Evans shot a 52(47) for 2nd and 15 bucks. He is on a tear lately, I think we'll bring his handi down some more! Dale James shot a 60(49) and beat me in a throw off for 3rd and 10 bucks. I shot an even par round for the first time ever at colfax! Doug, Clint and I all had personal bests. There were only 10 of us this week. If anyone wants to practice up for the pro flight open on aug. 1 at colfax, you should come over for wednesday night flights!
