I'm David Swartwood. I grew up here in town. I'm a '94 grad of MCHS.

I moved back to Mason in 2003. I currently work for NIACC. I work graveyard shift, and I do most of my disc golfing in the morning after work.

disc golf is my #1 hobby. I also enjoy cycling and motorcycling. This past year i turned into a health and nutrition buff. Oh, and I'm a huge Florida Gators fan (since 1993)! As of this date they've won the 2006 NCAA Basketball Tourney and are #2 in the Football AP Poll, #1 in the SEC

I am getting married next month (November).

My main "go to" golf discs are:

Discraft Flash
Discraft Cyclone
Gateway Wizard

Haha, thanks for the advice.. was in a hurry so just threw up a link rather than type type type. Birdie is a friend of mine's pet! Yeah, the world has gotten THAT wierd now that people make web pages for their pets....but that bird does kick ass. It says like 75 words and is only a parakeet. That's pretty much unheard of awesome.

Dude, you are getting married next month?! Aw hell, I was just starting to enjoy this new MC league disc golf and now you're going away for a long long time huh. Well, I'll continue the discing tradition while you're away I guess. If you ever escape the terror, seeya some Saturday morning or Tuesday night on the course!!

I am Justin J. Teeter. I am from Mason, but have moved back and forth from Mason and Clear Lake. My brother happens to be on here. I didn't even notice until I saw one of his posts. He is the one the got me into this. I haven't really played a whole lot due to the fact that is the middle of winter, but would love to get into it.

Hey Justin. The Mason City Doubles League starts back up Saturday, April 7. I'm sure Dave will post more information as the date gets a little closer. This would be a great way to meet some of the local disc golfers. Everybody I've met has been really cool and they have a great time. Check it out.

i've posted flyers about this website around the east park course. i was hoping to get some more DG'ers on this site by the flyers.

that's why i ask.

you'll have to come to our double's league - starting 1st saturday in april. we have about 20+ players on our roster. we usually average 8-10 players each week though.

last year was our 1st year of "organized" league play. We retain a lot of 1st timers, so i look for our league to grow pretty quick.

hopefully soon, we'll be organizing a Mason City DG club - with custom discs and shirts and stuff.

Funny you should say that Dave. I have been messing around with a logo for Mason City Disc Golf. I'll e-mail it to you when I get one I'm happy with.

Man up, it's never too cold for DG.
