I think this is cool idea. It gives people who want to try to participate more the opportunity to be apart of a team.

I love it. It's great to see local guys make good. It's fun to say, "I played with a world' champ" (thanks Steady) Waiting for Ben's. I still get a kick out of watching his clutch putting at the Am Nats.

Now what would the IowaDG board be like during winter without me inadvertently starting something? :D

Yeah good stuff. Aaron. I'd like to talk more about my winter distance off the tee...I wonder how much shorter message board distances are in January?

I've enjoyed playing tournaments with MDR and AO more since we've been on the Team together. Definitely find myself rooting for them when I'm not at the event.

Reading about Adam breaking into the top 10 at Worlds for example made me appreciate having someone who not only pushes you, but is pushing the World's best.

MDR has been getting consistently more consistent (there's no other way to say it).

Now, Ben is coming on strong, with a National Title, strong Open wins, and the ability to analyze a players technique and replicate their shots with the speed & power of a whippet - he's set himself up for another great season next year.

I'll have to be selective about my tournaments next year, but I plan on having a strong and healthy season.

Mark “Steady” Steddom
Pro Grandmaster
967 Rating

2011
5 Tournaments played
1st Place Pro GM @ Kiwanis Open
2nd Place Pro GM @ DSM Challenge
1st Place Adv @ Rumble
1st Place Adv @ Iron Lion Open

Highlights
First Tournament played in 2005, at age 51. (Yes, I really am that old…)
2006 2nd place Am GM Worlds
2007 Am GM Doubles World Champion
2007 Am GM Singles World Champion
2008 Am GM Singles World Champion
2009 15th place Pro GM Worlds (There’s a huge difference between Am & Pro!)

Total: 11 Tournament wins. 8 seconds.

MILLENNIUM Sponsored player since 2008
Gorilla Boy Disc Sports Sponsored player 2011

Two things that I’m most proud of:
1. I never quit. It doesn’t matter how poorly I’m playing, I will continue to play to the best of my ability. Sometimes that’s pretty hard to do, but I force myself to do so. My sponsors deserve it and so do my competitors.
2. My positive attitude. I wish my competitors well and encourage them on every shot. I just love seeing everyone play well. Plus, it’s more fun that way.

It's good to see you are still tearing up the courses, Mark. It made my day to see your stats. I miss playing with you guys. Maybe someday I'll get back to the QCs and embarrass myself again with you guys.

Thanks for letting me know I had to do this Chase. I don't really get on this site and would not have gotten it done. I can't wait to see what the new team looks like. I have been honored to be part of your team in the past and will continue to do so in the future.
