First Run Star Destroyers

Postby Sidearm » Mon Sep 12, 2011 9:19 am

Chase,
I have the beginnings of a nice collection of first run star destroyers & am giving some thought to seeing if I can collect all (or most) of the different colors. Am I looking at 10-15 different colors or 25+?

Wow, I have no idea to be honest. Id say the higher number simply based off color blends / fusions.

Ive seen everything from Black to Hot Pink, and even a Purple-Blue Blueberry type. Id say it could take awhile to finish, but Ill see what I have left and maybe there is some oddities.

Its DX, more than likely. The KC Avairs wouldve appeared for the first time around 00-01, I believe. I could be wrong, but they havent custom stamped KC stuff in the past, unless it was doen w a smalller double stamp.

Sorry, I'm not really looking to sell (although I wouldn't turn away a ridiculous offer/trade). You might try ebay -- even though I've seen 1st run star destroyers sell for $70+, I picked up a 10/10 last night for $40 plus shipping. I've also picked up several 10/10 X-Outs for $25-$35 on ebay.

Unfortunately, exaggeration is a part of the online world & "new" doesn't always mean unthrown to some sellers. Even when they describe a disc as "new," I often inquire if it is 10/10, new & never thrown.

Hey Chase. Just wondering how rare the first run chalky prototype wizards are? Its the run before the the chief run I believe. Came across one and a bit curious. Its unthrown as well and still has the chalky texture. Thanks man!

So do you mean a Proto Wizard or the first Wizards to use the chalky type of plastic?

Either way, neither is much of a goldmine. Ive seen the arch stamped protos go for up to $50, but the last I sold was for $22.

Its the arch stamp version. Thanks for the info. I'll toss it in the collection for now.
