Wildcat has a 0.05 disc rating lead on both West Lake and Pickard. I think people are blown away when they see our huge parks with elevation and water that are primarily just a disc golf course.

I know we all have our sentimental picks, but I'm kinda surprised no one followed my lead on the Forest City pick. I think it fits all of the criteria? Am I missing something about this course? I have enjoyed every round I've played there.

This one of the great things about Wildcat Bluff especially! And meanwhile, other park users are commonly mentioned as a "con" in the DGCR reviews for West Lake. Imagine how high its rating would be without that issue! Best to play it early in the morning on a weekend, or take a vacation day and play it during work hours.

I agree with the red part too. I think that's really the reason a lot of Colorado courses just can't measure up. They use their beautiful parks out here for other shit ..because people here are always out doing crap that isn't frisbee..

In the end they're left with donated land or floodplanes I'm pretty sure. Nice 430 hyzer hole ..

1. West Lake
2. Wildcat Bluff

If Wildcat had more water and didnt have hole 16 it may have made my top spot.

After those its a good drop.

3. Walnut
4. Pickard
5. Legion

For me, I think Walnut could be the most fun course to play in Iowa. I never shoot the way I want there and even when I am, there are several holes that can throw you off your game or excel it to new levels. If I lived in DSM its the place I would play the most.

Pickard, for some reason made my Top 5. I dont know why. Its a really solid course, with the exception of 16 and 17, which I think are dumb and dont fit at all. Not a fan of the no smoking rule either, but its big golf that needs to have a good amount of accuracy. Not like West Lake or Wildcat, but still solid. Its another place that can throw you off your game on multiple holes with minor mistakes.

5th pick was the hardest for me, but I chose Legion over Penninsula and a few others, mainly because of shot making. I have not played IHCC or Forrest City, so I cant say where those would go.

J&B is close, and if this was 5 years ago, it may have made it. Its still a fantastic course and the only reason Id go to Lamoni.

Atlantic is one of my favorite courses & I sometimes dream about the possibilities at Boone. Walnut & Colfax are the two courses in the greater Des Moines area that I enjoy the most.

Yep.

Walnut is a great place and and extremely difficult RHBH course. Like IHCC but opposite, lots of challenging anhyzers.
