I only saw the end, but the torch lighting was probably the coolest 5 minutes of TV I ever watched. I never wanted to be in London so bad in my life.

I missed the lighting...but the other 3+ hours was mostly unwatchalble...Mr. Bean was the highlight.
Force, Wraith, Teebird, Pig, Buzzz, Cobra, Challenger...This week at least.

Agree, I don't recall any humor in the Beijing one. I thought the Queen entrance sequence with 007 was great. And the clip they played from Dark Side of the Moon, seemed to fit perfectly.

Dark side of the moon part was awesome. I wanted to have Wizard of Oz playing on a different TV

Except for a few moments you can come to the Carnival (Cattle Congress) about sept 16th and see most of the same things.

Yeah, that was the 5 minutes I was talking about. From the moment the Torch rises until Paul McCartney. That firework sequence was incredible.

I didnt think McCartney was all that bad, appreciated the emotion, but didnt think Hey Jude was a good choice, didnt like that Ringo wasnt there, and thought the UK could have put up one hell of a garage band to play some songs.

Didnt get the Beatles cover band..at all...but they killed Come Together.. Understood the Hey Jude for the end chorus, but still. Wouldve liked him to do "Her Majesty" after The End, but thats cool.
