My brother in law just went to work for them...now I don't have anyone to play foosball with. Their party on Dec 15th should be exciting to see what they are releasing and what direction they plan on going form here. I use it fairly regularly around des moines and we take it at the Flat Tire in Madrid ;)

I want in. This is brilliant. I have been studying bitcoins lately, trying to find a way to make them feasible. This is a stopgap between the two, but its good to hear someone finally badmouthing the ACH. ACH has been robbing the american public blind for years, and banks treat it like the holy grail. Interesting to see what will win out between this, credit cards and mobile banking.

Good read...hope it works out in the short to near term. They could come under heavy fire from the credit card companies soon though. I'm sure they aren't going to sit back and watch their revenues start dwindling and do nothing about it...

The blog post (linked above) about Dec 15 sure is interesting. Whatever is going to happen, the CEO himself is calling it confusing. And it will instantly effect[sic] everyone who loves and hates them?? I'm sure I probably won't even understand it, since I barely understand anything financial at all.

Maybe they're getting bought by google and are implementing the new intergalactic currency.

for those that haven't seen it Dwolla's new feature, it's instant money. You can now borrow up to 500 bucks so you don't have to wait the 3 to 5 days for the money to be transfered from your bank to your dwolla account. There is a $3 monthly fee and you can turn the feature on and off. There is also a $5 late charge if you don't repay the money at the end of the month.

The meetup last night was pretty cool. Had to be about 300 people there.
