Vote for Best Wings

Postby grodney » Thu Sep 08, 2011 5:52 pm

Hi all. Most of you don't know me. But my favorite wing bar in Charlotte (d.d. Peckers Wing Shack) is trying to win the popular vote for best wings in Charlotte at the Carolina Wing Festival.

If you've got a minute, throw them a vote from each of your e-mail accounts. I actually think it would be pretty hilarious if they get a bunch of votes from Iowa/Illinois rolling in.

Thanks!

Corey thinks this practice is immoral and would set a bad example for america's youth.

This sounds about as accurate of an award as the DM CityView Best of Awards everyone touts here in town. When B-Bops wins Best Burger and Buffalo Wild Wings wins the Best Wings year in and year out I have no respect or acknowledgement of said distinguishment.

Now wait just a damn minute

are you trying to say that B-Bops shouldn't win best burger every year?

That's exactly what I'm saying. No fast food pre-packaged frozen burger should ever be in the conversation.

God I miss B-Bops...And I miss those thick chocolate shakes that should also win a CityView award...

But as good as B-Bops burgers are...I have to agree with Corey...Best burgers I've ever had came from sit down establishments lacking the fast food moniker...

Another hearty vote of confidence for B-Bops.

And I thought B-Bops won for best fast food.

B Bops in Windsor Heights was my first job ever at 14. Most times people have horror stories about those kind of places. Not I. Worked there for 2 years. Owner was great, place was clean, product was always fresh.

They win.

Naw, it's all good peeps up in here. Besides, hopefully any anti-votes get spread out among the competition.
