Sunglasses

Postby Conrad 37988 » Wed May 04, 2011 9:01 pm

I've been thinking about getting a pair of decent sunglasses for disc golf and everyday use.

Do polorized/photochromatic lenses matter?

Does anyone have any suggestions/recomendations?

Oakley half jacket......
I use to lose $10 sunglasses everytime I wore them to play dg since I had to take them off to drive. Half jackets are around $90 but I have not had issue with them falling off plus they are light weight. There are probably 20 lense options for the half jacket so you can get what ever lenses you want. Lenses do make a difference but you will be paying a premium for them.

Depends on how much you want to spend. I have Oakleys RX and spent 7 times what Beerman spent but they are the best in my opinion. But they must be Oakleys lens also. I have worn glasses sence I was 12 and have never had a better view than these and they are 3 years old and they dont scratch.

cheap sunglasses are the way to go. visit the mall kiosk for cheapo's. polarized are nice for looking in the water for plastic and fishing but dont do much for actual play. i go through at least 3-4 pairs of sunglasses per year and doesnt make me mad at all if i break or lose them...

I 2nd this. I wear sunglasses almost all the time while playing. I just go for the $15 basic glasses, nothing fancy. Like Stiers said, you won't be pissed when they break or get lost
