I talk crap about Hellmuth's play, but 12 bracelets is impressive.

Razz too. I hate Razz.

so is online poker totally just dead or is it still happening somewhere I don't know about? I live in the country, I'm bored, and I hate money.

I'm not sure. I've wondered about that as well.

Hey there's a private poker tournament I've been invited to in Cedar Rapids. It's in November; buy-in is $40. They're capping the field at 27 players. If anyone is interested in joining, shoot me a PM and I can give you the details.

That is correct. Haven't seen anyone yet, but things probably won't heat up until Thu. Day 1 starts Fri.

I went to bed at 11pm and there were 3 dudes left at the final table. Turned on the telly at 5:45am and the same 3 were still sitting there. What the hell? That's old school.

I watched off and on all night. Unreal how long that lasted. The quality of play was unreal, however there's a huge drawback to all the coaching they get. One is that you get an 11+ hour final 3 and there's no drama. Amateurs call in so many spots and these guys never did. All night long Antonio kept explaining why calling simply isn't an option. Nothing like tournaments I deal here. People call in those spots all the time and that's what leads to all the great bad beats. If it's all raise/fold then you don't get enough flop play.

I was with ya....went to bed, woke up still on...crazy.

I agree, and I really think that it was very BORING to watch in all honesty, no adrenaline at all it seemed to me. But hey, if I was playing for 3-8 mil, I may want to have all the angles covered as well.
