Welcome aboard

Postby Bradbalk » Sat Aug 19, 2006 10:03 pm

I would like to personally welcome everyone to our new site. We are a long way from where we wanted to be before we launced, but we just couldn't hold back any longer, the site will grow in leaps and bounds over the next few months. Enjoy!

welcome to the board. who am i talking to? is it possible to welcome the people here before me? especially if i just arrived here? hullo?

written communication can be misinterpreted, so when posting:
- keep it clean (or at least funny)
- review your message before submitting and
- realize most people don't review theirs
- pm members if it doesn't concern others
- let others have their opinion, so that you can have yours
- beware the grammar person's

if you're interested in eastern iowa/western illinios disc golf or can't find what you're looking for here, be sure to check out...

I think there will be a slow migration from the QC Site to here.

Mike and I felt that full migration intially was how we would do it. We wanted to take what we had started in the QC and make it bigger and better for all parties. We felt the Quad Cities would still have a static information style web page, but use this board as a meeting ground and a place for the locals to hang out and enjoy. Unfortanetly the QC board members don't like that idea, they instead want full control over the current forums to censor as they see fit to their own agenda. There is going to be a major shift in QC leadership in a couple months, so hopefully the new leaders will as Mike put it "See the big picture" and move towards a full migration here. As I said on the Des Moines Board, one big forum dedicated to all of Iowa will hopefully be more lively and enjoyable than a dozen little forums.

How is this going to happen? Just curious? Who are the current "board" members :?: (besides Clark and Gill)?

Because they are holding new elections in October and it sounds like none of them are interested in running for re-election.
Right now you have Clark, Johnson, Fish, and Joe Rodman.

Right on, so what will happen to the "club" plastic? Or will it just come to be known that it's all Jeff's?? Or is it?

Jeff doesn't have it anymore. The Danimal has taken over, and from all acounts I have recieved done well to lower the club stock.

Cool, sounds like the changing of the guard will open up some nice new opportunities for the QCDGC. Is Mr. Eng planning on getting back involved with the board, or is his involvement strictly with West Lake?
