TONIGHT 6 PM MEETING AT PROSPECT CONCERNING TRAILS

Postby Chase20460 » Wed Sep 13, 2006 2:39 pm

Tonight at 6 PM, there will be a meeting at the Music Guild in Prospect Park concerning the trails and the possible expansion of the Guild parking lot. This parking lot would be, basically, right on hole 17.

The residents of the area are looking for supporters. Im going to try to make it, and if anyone else has the time to go, please do. Basically, the residents there are opposed to the parking lot and would rather see that money spent fixing the trails that are still f#$%ed up.

If you can go, go. If you cant, I understand and just found out about the meeting about 10 minutes ago.

He knows. He was in the shop when a neighbor came in and told us about the meeting.

Well- that was one heated meeting.. The primary issue at hand was the parking lot. If I knew how to insert pictures I'd have a link to the plans. Maybe Brad can help me out. From the plans, it appears that hole 17 tee area would have to be moved. And it sounds like its a go for the new parking lot.

On a side note, the neighbors of Prospect Park are extremely passionate about their park and surrounding area. There was some disgruntlement towards the increased traffic in the park since the renovation, but nothing directly targeted towards disc golfers. As disc golfers, and representatives of the disc golf community, I just want to express how important it is to continue to maintain courteous and respectful interactions with both the neighbors and the park. These people were angry, and I'm sure glad that it wasn't disc golfers causing the drama.[/img]

Kelly since you like to throw around your college degree on your posts, maybe you should try throwing around your spell check.
