Lets start this forum out right.
Star Leopard: Red plastic, 174g. ( 175g. digital. )
The Leopard is one of my favorite discs ever. Im a fan of the CE Leopards more than the modern Champion. There are two types of CE Leopards, stable and slightly understable. A real overstable Leopard is hard to come by, so I dont really count on those.
The new Star Leopards most resemble the early and late run Leopards more than the 2nd and 3rd runs, which were more straight to slightly understable. In other words, when new, these are great for slight flip hysers and fairway drives. They are domier than the older CEs, which can produce a weird updraft / air bounce , but also can reach decent distance. They are great for less powerful throwers looking for a solid long approach disc, and also performed decent in headwinds.
I think as it beats up some, it will get alot better. I dont know if the control will be as good as some of the flatter topped versions, but it should make a good replacement for the fans of the Champion. Ill add more as I get more accustomed to it, but it will remain in the bag, replacing a QJLS and a beefier CE I carry.
