"Flat-top" models?

Postby ghstinshll » Mon Jun 25, 2007 5:00 pm

Ok, there have been a couple of models that I've thrown over the years, like the eagle & beast mainly - where certain releases of the disc had the same bottom, but had a flatter top to them. For me, they carry really well - and I'm curious if there's a certain run, 10x, 11x, ???, that might have the bearing on why they seemed to have flatter tops. The custom dyed Beast I have - is from the World's Biggest weekend, i can see where the stamp used to be - but cant tell what year it might have come out. I'm wantign to make SURE I find another 2-3 flat-top beasts like this one. Any help woudl be aprpecited by you "disc history" buffs... LOL

The old Pro Line Beasts were the most consistently flat Beasts from my Recollection.

The DSM club has a handful of flat top Rocs if you’re interested.

They are mainly found in the curved rim Pre L- Mold:

Pro Line
Champion
Barry 1xs

The Worlds Biggest disc is a Pro Line Beast, if its the one Im thinking of. Does it have a flat rim or curved?

Chase, I'm talking flat domed, not flat rim, liek the SL, FL, etc...

This one from world's biggest has a kinf od "Orange county chopper" kind of font to it. It's hard to make out because of the outline under the dye job... I shold write the guy who made it to ask about the disc. 8)

Yup, pre-Barry and 1X champ Beasts are good stuff. I like them in 166-170ish weight for sidearm but will throw heavier 175 weight backhand. I'll trade for these if anyone has them.

I was going to post a pic of a flat top model but all the photos I found of Kate Moss were NSFW.
