Thoughts on Middle

Middle Park went in the ground today. I know a lot of people played it today and more will playing it soon. I'd love to hear some constructive criticism from those who have played it. Please understand it's only about 60% done right now. More pin positions will be installed later, along with an additional tee pad on each hole, and things aren't nearly as "clean" as they will be.

P.S. - I'll also be emailing Mike a map to post in the morning.

I think its great I enjoyed it even though I shot +24

I think some thinks that should be considered would be

hole 1, there were a few grabbers on the up hill side of the valley right side, that look like they should be removed.

Hole 2, I dont think that branch needs to be removed that we were talking about.

hole 3, I didnt see anything. although maybe until people get used to the course maybe a spray painted arrow to direct people to 3 instead of easily heading to 6.

hole 4, nothing again. I just need to stay out of the reeds and tall grass.

hole 5, there is a low ceiling with all of those dead branches is it possible to remove some of those?

hole 6, Works well the way it is.

hole 7, anhyzer to the left to the tree right in front worked well for me.

hole 8, haha wow long.

hole 9, just need to work on dealing with that hillside.

hole 10, needs the concrete removed from right in front of the tee pad.

hole 11, works fine

hole 12, lots of trees jumped out in front of me.

hole 13, I think Clark wanted to remove some trees?? I didnt have a problem with them.

hole 14 great.

hole 15 Why isnt it in the short placement? I forgot to tell my wraith that when that way instead of straight out to the long placement.

hole 16 made a three there Im happy.

hole 17 I just need practice on it. Nailed a tree right before the opening to the field.

hole 18 Very hard to tell the depth on it.

All in all I like the course I just need to really practice it. A lot of the holes are very hard to judge the distance on. they look so close but are pretty far away.

Another thing the concrete leftovers could maybe be used for the stepping stones from 10 to 11?

Somebody did that already! They did it between my 1st and 2nd round. I have no idea who did it but they are awesome. A big THANKS to whoever did it.

Did I say "did it" enough?

My first thoughts on Middle havent changed much since my other post on the other site. It F@$%ing ROCKS! I also cant say enough about the work and planning that went into this. Its a great course, and I thank everyone that worked to make it happen.

Dude, I started going hole to hole, but what for? Its pointless. I like almost all the holes out there, and the ones I dont like are due to personal preference, or something else irrelevant. I played it blind and it beat me down. I loved it, as to me its a sign of a strong course. The DSM courses, West Lake, Tabaggon, Northwoods, McNaughton are a few of the courses that beat my ass first time out. I look forward to playing those courses all the time, as I will this one. Until West Lake, this will be the local ass kicker, and even then it wont be anybodys bitch.

The long hole, 8 I think?, is great and the road hole after is awesome as well. Both have huge stroke gain potential, I can assure you. I liked all the wooded holes, especially the one with the broken tree. All play tough but fair, and will suffer little loss in terms of chucker grooming. Hole 15 was a blast, and is a hole Ill always look forward to playing.

The ideas/ designs about the other pins sounded great as well. This course is great, I can express that enough.

In my opinion this the the McNaughton/Northwoods of the QC. Not an easy play, and lots of fun risk/reward shots. This is a must play!!

Man I loved this course I think it is definately the best course in the QC right now. I had some good holes and some bad holes. I actually shot fairly well with a 55. I was extremely impressed with the work that was done and the disc in the tee was just Chuckin sweet.

Middle to 23rd...turn right. Turn right immediately into park, turn left immediately entering park...continue on until you hit the parking lot. Hole 1 is facing the ditch with the cleared wooded area. You won't miss it.
