That would be cool. I'll just need $1000 if you choose to use any of the footage!

I fully expect there to be upsets. I just wanted to show how wide open a tournament like this is going to be. If I get some more time and am able to piece together a better list of 64 players with their ratings I hope to post a mock bracket to give eveyone an idea what their seeding would be like and a possible draw.

I almost preempted this in my original post. You and Sprague were the first two people I thought of when I considered restricting this to Iowa residents only, but you guys are way too important to Iowa disc golf to exclude. However, if this ever gets to be an event that is hard to get into I'll likely make that exclusion down the road. But hopefully you two will either automatically qualify with a 3-2 or better record, or I'll just grandfather in anyone who played the first one.

I hope that means you're in! Plus, that would help with a QC draw and since maybe 20 of the top 64 players live there it would mean a lot if you guys played.

I'm getting great feedback and I really appreciate it, plus I'm getting some behind the scenes help from an unexpected source who already has the brackets ready to go! Also, I'd like to thank Dave Beery who stepped aside to allow this date. There was some talk of the DM Open being a 2-day event which would've sucked up this weekend, but he agreed to stick to one day the previous weekend. I also realize this is between 2 big weekends with DM/QC the prior weekend and Atlantic the following weekend. Sticking a 2-day event in between could be tough on a lot of player's wives, kids, etc....so I'm going to be really excited if this ends up being as successful as I hope.

now all you need now clue is a trophy. i'm thinking a silver bowl or plate with the tournaments name and established date engraved on the front and then we can have the winners name engraved on the back each year. can you imagine hoisting that over your head!

granted their might not be too many people left to watch the finals and the winner hoist the trophy but i'm sure there will be a couple of bushwhackers left over in the parking lot.

so in ball golf you see the winner with 5 and 4, does that mean he was 5 up with 4 to play? and the dormy hole - determine win/loss hole comes into play when you're up more than you have holes left. right. so the ideal round would only last 10 holes, winning the first 9 and tieing the 10th.
