Perfect weather once again and despite the beating I took, I wouldn't change a thing about the layout. Play it smart and you do well. I don't know Clay, but one of the smartest players I know tied for first. Nice work out of everyone involved and see you next year.
What division was that?!? If Clay played half as much as the rest of us he'd easily be the best in the state. The rounds that impressed me the most was when we had a USDGC qualifier at McHose in Boone and he shot something like 56-56 or maybe even a 55 playing it blind. The only thing that surprises me is when he doesn't birdie.
Thanks Kevin, it's a real treat to be able to play this. Getting to play there the first time was a dream, to be able to play it again was surreal. I just hope one of these times we get some decent weather! I'm still blown away that we got almost completely opposite winds between rounds. I went to lunch talking about how 11 was too long, then almost went for the green in 2 second round with the tail wind! 14-18 got a lot tougher though.
