Showdown

Postby DLCdisc » Sat Nov 03, 2012 10:01 pm

Hey folks,

What a day!!! It was absolutely gorgeous day for golf. The only thing that would have been better would be if I had been able to play. Wouldn't change a thing though -- saved me a tremendous amount of stress not worrying about doing both. I am whipped but wanted to thank everyone that came out, donated prizes, and hung around for the raffles. First time ever that I sold more tickets than I had prizes. I will post results (top finishers at least) tomorrow. I would start the countdown for next year, but I haven't locked in the date yet.

Thank you again,

Damon

Great time. Fun to play on a ball golf course. Just reinforced my favorite reason to play a tourney (carts). Thanks to those who worked hard to put it on. Temp tee signs are as good as any permanent signs around.

Thanks Damon. I don't get out to play often, but was SO pumped to be able to get in - then play so well too. What a gorgeous course, and such a fun day with some awesome people. Getting up way earlier than ever have in the last 5 years paid off!

Thanks for putting on such a killer event.

Had a great time as well and thanks to Damon and everyone involved in getting the course set up. I missed this last year, and despite the windy weather, everyone who played raved at how fun it was. I made sure not to miss it this year and I'm glad I didn't!

Agreed. That is a Shane Stewart special there. When we were designing this last year we backtracked three holes to put that one in and make better use of the terrain. Into that nasty headwind last year that was one of the most dangerous greens out there though. Last year difficult three to say the least. This year it yeilded a deuce. I like that one but hole 7 & 8 are my two favorites.

Looking at a redesign for next year to keep things fresh using the same beautiful peice of land.

I suggest running two events next year as I would be sad to see this layout go away.

thank you

before there was mention of a tourney there I played golf and really wanted to throw that fairway backwards. I was excited that Damon gave us that chance.
Are you ready for the Challenge?

Great time and great weather this year!

Thanks Damon and crew!

I have to think the golf course made a killing for a November day and only had to shut down 9 holes.
If it kills, I got news, it ain't a side effect
