On Sunday we were in Thornton for the 7th event on the 2012 Discraft North Iowa Tour! We had 52 total players (46 Men and 6 Women). Jared Johnson and December Moore continued their dominance with yet another victory, and Andy Endorf took home the Ace Fund of $82!

We have just one event left, in Belmond on Saturday September 15th.

Tour Women:
Right now we have 7 Tour Women, so all 7 of them will Automatically Qualify for the Tour Finals on October 27th in Forest City, and will not have to play at the Qualifier event on the 13th of October, unless we see more women get a Tour Membership at the last event. The race for the Points Championship has come down to December Moore and Suzanne Hillyard. Suzanne is looking to 3-peat as the Points Champion, but she will need a victory in Belmond with at least 5 of the Tour Women participating just to tie December, she would need 6 or all 7 of the Tour Women to participate to take the lead for herself with a victory. We would be paying Cash to the Top 4 of the 7 in the Tour Standings.

Tour Men:
The Top 28 Tour Men will Automatically Qualify for the Tour Finals on October 27th in Forest City. If you finish outside the Top 28, you must have played at a minimum of 3 events to participate at the Tour Finals Qualifier on October 13th in Forest City. Right now there are 21 Tour Men who would fall into that category, but there are 10 more Tour Members who have played just 2 events so far, and could get their 3rd event in if they play at Belmond. Remember that both the Tour Finals and Tour Finals Qualifier events are FREE to play, there are no entry fees! The Top 4 at the Tour Finals Qualifier will earn a spot at the Tour Finals. So right now we would be paying Cash to the Top 20 of the 49 Tour Men with at least 3 events under their belt, for the Tour Standings payouts. And the Points Championship has come down to 2 Tour Men also. Jared Johnson is currently in the lead over 2-time defending Points Champion Jared Pittman. Pittman needs a victory in Belmond with 36 Tour Men participating to tie Johnson, and 37 or more Tour Men to take the lead for himself. Just a little note, 5 of the 7 events so far have seen at least 40 Tour Men participating, the other two had 34 and 39 Tour Men.
