INFO: TOM CREMER (641-954-1380) &

I talked to Tom today and got this information. He said that he had talked to some of the guys in Bruce's league and they said that Bruce was not going to have a tournament in July after all. Tom said that he put one together so we would still have a tournament here. He did not see any flyers or anything in Iowa except for the original listing with Clue back in October. Nobody I talked to knew anything about a tournament here either. Tom said he was sorry that it turned out this way, but now everybody can have two tournaments to go to if they want.

Memorial Meltdown

Postby 18UnderPar » Fri Jul 27, 2012 1:50 pm

I would like to thank and congratulate the 37 disc golfers who braved the 104 degree temperature to play in the Memorial Meltdown. Among the hardcore golfers who played, there were two women, including a teenager playing in her first tourney. Nobody actually melted although any discs left in a car that day probably could have melted. Results: Pro 1. Drew Detert 2.Kurt Conrad and Justin Birch. 1st Flight 1. Adam Karstens 2. Joey Lane 2.
Brian Peterson 2. Ryan Weston 2nd Flight 1. Jeff Smart 2. Dylan Riccardo
3. Tony Wheeler 3rd Flight 1. Seth White 2. Tom Lansing 2. Andy Ridgway
Women 1. Abby McDonald 2. Janaya Cordray

thanks for running the tournie! Lots of fun, even though I did feel like I was actually melting. Never played there before so it was a blast to see another cool course. The elevation is very fun here and there are only a few holes that need work *cough10cough*. Thanks alot for the cold waters too, had a great time and would definitely come back.
