2012 FBI 9-8-2012

Postby GDL17921 » Tue Jul 10, 2012 2:30 pm

If you've never made it to an FBI, this is the year to make it out! This has been going on for years as an invite only event run by a core group of great guys. Anyway, Victor Clark has been running this for as long as I can remember, and it's not to be missed. So be there.

Here's the skinny. Vic texted me last night and gave me some information - most importantly that he wanted me to invite you and share this information with you all:

Where: Walnut Ridge Disc Golf Course - tourney central at the shelter behind 18's basket (make the right hand turn after hole 17)

Awards: Swords and Knives will dominate prizes this year

2 rounds of 19 holes

When: September 8, Register from 8-9 AM.

A light lunch will be catered in for us!

Cost: $20 (Ace Fund included)

Adults only please

As usual, there will be side games gallore! Target golf, Big Gun, and don't forget the Chip o' Day.

He will probably have a knife or sword to cut the lasagna though.

I think it's about time to ressurect this thread.

I talked to Vic a couple weeks ago and he wanted me to pass on the information that he would greatly appreciate it if we could each bring a side dish or a dessert for the lunch. The original FBIFGA members will be providing the barbecue (guessing burgers/brats/hot dogs).

This is a fun day of enjoying our sport, and also the camradarie that goes hand in hand with the competition it creates. So do everyone attending a big favor, be a sport and grab couple quarts of slaw, potato salad, make a crock pot of chili, chips and dip, veggie tray, or anything you can come up with that I can stuff my face with. It will be a fun day for sure.

Don't forget, we have the discreet shelter back behind hole 18's basket. To access that, turn right down the hill on the road that you walk across between holes 17 and 18.

This will be a kick ass day, I'm REALLY looking forward to the new venue out at Walnut.
