Many of you probably saw my black lab "Blacky" throughout the years. As a pup, he and I walked the area that is now Treasure Cove long before it was a disc golf course. Blacky was with me during all the course development as well as my constant companion in all the installation. In his 13 years of life, Treasure Cove was Blacky's favorite place run and play, to chase squirrels, and talk back to the resident hawks. He played with the wild turkeys, tracked the frequent deer, and even saved me late one evening from a Mountain Lion by the baseball field (true story). Blacky was adopted by us from the pound when he was 2 months old and grew up with our 5 kids and 8 grandkids. Though I could never get him to find my lost discs at the Cove or bring my discs back to me, we spent many hours together dreaming about the land we loved to roam. Adam, my son in law made the bridge, Sara my daughter presented the plaque, and thus we dedicate the new plank bridge over the creek on hole 2 "The Blacky Bridge" Thank you all for joining in on the fun of guessing. May the bridge serve us well as we disc at the Cove.
