I think I saw Todd's car in the parking lot this morning which would mean the pads are clear..

Sorry, that was more a post for the little Adv players than if you were working on the course.

Doug, now you got me thinking about playing, but Beachy would be my partner. Can we play rec then?

I already bought a bunch of canned food for the food drive so I will be coming down anyway. I dont get out of the house that often with two kids so Im not going to pass up the chance this weekend.

I'm in the same boat brother if you haven't found a partner yet pm me your info

Good Time

Postby desertstormvet » Sat Feb 25, 2012 8:03 pm

Had a good time today, the tourney was top notch, will attend another tourney ran by Vicious Circle. I had the pleasure to meet a lot of nice people, makes a good impression for someone who is new to the tournament seen. If anyone finds a yellow Force at hole 11 please call number on disc, that was my kids fav disc, thanks.

Awesome job Vicious Circle as always. Had a great time, the afternoon weather was perfect, and played with quality folks both rounds (always a bonus).

PS. Thanks for not making the second round blue tees AND long baskets, I hate when the second round at the Penn is a death sentence......

Thank you to the 82 Disc Golfers ( including 4 gals! ) that participated in The Iowa City Ice Bowl! You donated 365 pounds of food and $1000 cash to the Johnson County Crisis Center and Food Bank. We asked that the $1000 be used to purchase bulk food for the food bank. They stated that they are able to purchase 4 pounds of bulk food for each dollar donated! This comes at a time that they have a need for bulk food, so they thank all of you for the additional 4000 pounds of food!
It is the Disc Golfers that made all of this happen. Just playing two rounds of a game in the cold you all love, will feed many families in Johnson County this winter.

Special thanks to Jason Allen Stroud, who we can always count on to help out with the course and on tourney day. Also to those who cleaned tee pads – Jeremy, Nick, Joe and Kerri, thank you!

Thanks, as always, to Joe French and his Marco's Grilled Cheese cart for having good hot food on hand!

Thank you all and see you again next year!
