Glad to hear people are looking forward to this. I put quite a bit of time and effort into the Challenge each year, but the effort I throw into this one just seems to be more fun than work. Just to keep things going, here are a couple of updates:
1. Awards will once again be provided by me. Not cheap or easy, but not one penny of that cost will come from your money
2. I am up to $100 added cash already.
3. In my tradition of no one goes home empty handed, there will of course be a players pack for each player and enough prizes for the drawings that everyone will win at least once. Once again, none of that is coming out of the payout
4. I have asked a couple of people to assist me with planning the layout. I can do this and would probably have a lot of fun with it, but they will help me with a good balance of holes utilizing the elevation, water, trees, paths, and fencelines for a nice temp course. I can say that although it is on a ball golf course, it will not be set up in a fashion where the longest arm is assured a win. My goal is to force the use of a variety of shots. As this is a public golf course and they will be shutting part of it down that day at absolutely no cost to us
, we will not get to practice this layout prior to that morning. I will however attempt to utilize Google Earth or something along those lines to get a visual map and distances ahead of time. I am technologically challenged, so if someone wants to step up and help me with that let me know.
Once again, if anyone has prizes they would like to donate or a basket I can use just PM me and I will keep a list. I will keep you posted as more details come up.
