So Eastern's longs have concrete now?

I know you probably don't want to hear it....but....

You might be able to get away with not having tees at WL, since it's a "temp" course not yet installed, but playing natural tees at a course that has crete on the regular tees will bring criticism--especially considering it's an A-Tier.

I just hope you guys aren't jumping the gun here, having an A-Tier on courses that technically aren't ready yet. Just something to think about.

They did the same thing at Peoria when it was still and A tier. I didn't hear anybody complain about it there. I Just heard complaining about the crappy payout.

Besides natural are better than those piles of slippery when wet crap they had at DMAC for Worlds.

I've played in a few A Tiers with courses that had natural tees....no complaints.

...except for that one hole at Telemark.

Couple things:

1. Jay, shut your yapper and move up...you won't have to worry about it at all. The pansies (like myself, if I were to actually play), would have to deal with such an invonvenience.

2. Jay, shut your yapper and move up. I found this on the Eastern thread, and don't know how relevant it is...maybe Mike or Chad could clue us in:

Eastern Ave. is getting:

cement tee pads for the longs!!
new tee signs
the parking lot extended
a NEW practice basket (so people dont get hit again)
mulch put around the baskets on the front 9
7 NEW benches
7 concrete garbage cans (like the one by 9's basket)

all of this should be done before winter...

see thats how you get things done..

3. Jay, shut your yapper and move up!

I don't really know how relevant it is, as Eastern is flat enough that the long tee pads shouldn't hinder much of anything, anyway. But, again...don't mark my words on everything, as Chad might not even want to use the long tee pads (which I doubt, as Chad likes to be as evil as possible).

Just out of curiosity, why Eastern and not Devils Glen? Im sure it has something to do with Davenport, that maybe because Devils Glen only has 12 HOLES ( S-T-U-P-I-D ) but I think Eastern for 2 rounds for anyone sucks. I think the longs there are boring golf, concrete or not. Just making an opinion, and it doesnt matter, Im happy to be playing an A-Tier at home.

I just have really grown to appreciate Devils Glen. Some of the pin placements are still a waste, but I think with 18 holes it would be one of the best courses in town, not just another good course. With most of the temps used for the Classic a few years back, it would be the best. IMO.

As a Open player traveling to the RCR and playing all but 1 QC course,( Middle) Eastern would be my least favorite course to play for a Super tour event.
I agree with Chase, Devils Glenn is a GEM and needs more exposure for being a shot making course, than boring long open golf holes @ Eastern.

I would rather play Longview than Eastern.

No consideration in "Prospect". I think that course is pretty sweet IMO.

I'm guessing that it has more to do with the temporary holes than anything else, but again...I'm speaking out of line, as this was really Chad's decision (which I'll stand behind, as it is HIS tourney). But, I think it had to do with maintaining 24 temp holes out at Westlake (cuz the course still won't be permanent until after the tournament), and then maintaining 6 MORE temp holes out at Devils Glen. Its both a lot of work for more than one person, and a lot to be held accountable for, especially over a two day tournament. I think using two permanent courses made more sense.

That makes sense, K. C.

I know there are issues with Prospect but, I think it's better than Eastern. And, Longview is better than both of them.

Logistically speaking, it probably makes more sense to have the round at Eastern because of it's proximity to Middle.

Don't spend that 2 cents all in one place.

I enjoy Prospect. That course is pretty fun, but it does have issues. Some of those basket locations are too flucky, (Um, 3 comes to mind), the O.B.'s need to be more definded for tournament play.

There are alot of solid holes out there, it just needs some finishing touches.

we should get everyone's mom to help as spotters and such. They can make sure there is no foul language, we all have our shirts tucked in, and they can lick their finger and wipe crust from lunch off of our faces.
opulence, I has it.
