Carl: We hardly made a dent in that ten-foot hoagie.
Homer: I'll give it a good home.
[flash to Homer in front of the TV, eating the sandwich.]
Marge: You've been eating that sandwich for over a week. I think the
mayonnaise is starting to turn.
Homer: Two more feet, and I can fit it in the fridge.
[flash to Marge walking up to Homer with a sandwich-looking
thingamabob.]
Marge: Homer, I found this behind the radiator. I really think you
should throw it away.
Homer: Suggestion noted.
[when Marge leaves, Homer chows down]
If she can't swim....she's bound to drizzown.

Congrats to:

Mike and Chad for smoking everybody. -9 in the second was pretty impressive.

Dave and Pat, Mark and Joe- great shooting!

Dodds brothers- Nice work! Great first round ( Nice Ace! )

Phil- for running a great tournament. I had alot of fun.
Dan- for having the course in great shape.
Kelly- Thanks for transporting the boards around.

The Open players- for governing yourselves like grown-ups. Way to act like adults and good sports out there. It couldve been a crappy situation, but I thought it worked out. Wouldnt have mattered anyways, as Chad and Mike were apparently throwing in garbage from all over the place.

Phil, how are you going to force Jon and Andy to play Advanced and not make Caker and Dave play open? The same Caker who preached a sermon on here to Jon about moving up. Booo Caker.

It's not up to the TD to determine where everybody plays, whether he knows them or not. Some people don't have a problem playing down, all in the name of winning a buck. Not the TD's fault, but it's the responsibility of everybody else to heckle the hell out of the player. (which I'm sure eveyone already did.)

I didn't force Jon and Andy to play advanced, I encouraged them to play advanced, and they actually did really well. They were tied with Dan and I at three strokes off the lead. As for Dave and Caker, Dave came up and signed up for the both of them. I asked Dave who his partner was and he replied " Some guy I picked up in the parking lot." It wasn't until I was making scorecards that I realized it was Caker. It doesn't matter anyways, because first and last place in the advanced division was seperated by three strokes, so I would say that it was even competition.

On a brighter note I want to thank everyone who came out and played. Congrats to:

Mike and Chad-Pro
Mark and Joe, Dave and Caker-Advanced
Aaron and Willie- Intermediate
Kelly and Kathy- Womens

And big congratulations to my brother Aaron who hit his first ace ever on whole one.

I want to thank everyone who came and helped out.
Dan Swords for being my right hand man the whole time and for getting the course ready for the tourney, along with changing the baskets in between rounds. Aaron and Willie Dodds for helping me with the setup, you guys saved me a lot of time during the morning. Mike and Chad for helping change pin placements between rounds and for doing the scoreboard after the first round, as luck would have it my card was the last one in. Kelly Welch for bringing the scoreboards and for helping set it up before the tourney started, that was a big help. Big thanks to Jon Scott for donating CTP prizes. Thanks to Chase and the Iron Lion for merching and sponsoring the event. We all appreciate how much you do for the sport in our area. Jarrod for bringing Subway and helping with pin placements. And a big thanks to Chad Eng for making an appearance, although it was shortlived.

Again thanks to everyone who helped out and came out and played. Were going to do this next year and hopefully have it as a sanctioned tourney. Congrats to the winners and we'll see you againg next year. Thanks.

I put in an appearance every few months so people don't forget what I look like (no matter how hard they try). I really wanted to play but overslept (through two alarm clocks - I'm a dummy). I woudl have shown up and not had a partner anyway, so it all works out. Chase and Toad got hooked up and I would have felt terrible if either of those guys got hooked up with me.

That being said, I may put in an appearance at the Camden deal this weekend (and skip a family wedding I'm supposed to be at). That's how it used to be back in the day - no regard for family if there was a disc event. I miss those days... I can remember Clark and Johnson showing up on their anniversary days and kids birthdays and getting REEEAAAAAMMMMed afterwards. But in the immortal word of Jeff Johnson - "Why go home early? You can only get so wet standing in the rain."
