I'm pretty sure it's (Newton) a C-Tier.

Afterwards, Des Moines Disc Golf Club's annual glow is this Saturday night as well. If you're planning on coming out for Newton, you might as well come on over to Altoona for live music, beer, and food and enjoy one of DSM's traditions. I played last year, and it was a blast. You can hear the music on the whole course.

Normally, the glow is a fundraiser for the club. This year, the club decided to donate the money to Dann Shultz, from Waterloo. He was diagnosed with lung cancer earlier this year. He's been one of IA's instrumental people in disc golf going back to the '80's. I believe he was the TD for World's in 1989 up there. So, it's a blast, and for a real good cause. Kyle Schultz, his son, who lives in Des Moines, is running the event in his honor this year, and word on the street is that Dann the legend will be there if he's feeling well.

we've heard it from Dann himself. I look forward to meeting you Dann, I enjoy playing with Kyle. We play together quite a bit.

Come to the glow Saturday night everybody, support a great cause, and have a freakin' blast!

It's better. Live music, all baskets lit up with LED rings, no ridiculous hole that basically makes all the others obsolete, and the good people. Chaos is fun, this is really fun.

yeah, if Chaos had a live band that you could hear everywhere on the course, it would be close to being as fun. And like TD said, there aren't any holes that back the course up and put you out of the tourney. It's definately more of a social, fun event. And probably will be even more so this year, since it's after Newton.

Honestly, the more I think about it, when isn't any event played in the dark, in a tourney setting, not going to be a freakin' blast? It's fun as hell to play glow anyway, but when there's 80 people all decked out in glow necklaces, ankle bracelets, glow face paint, live music, keg beer, food, camaradarie, etc., you know the drill. I don't think I wanna say one's better than the other, they're both a FREAKIN' BLAST, and just wanted to make sure any of you that come to Newton, know about the glow, too. Glow rounds are always worth it, this one is no exception. And it's for a great cause this year. Hope to see some of ya here. Let me know if you need a place to vomit, er, crash.

I've never been to a glow touney before, so I don't know how it pans out. I do know this; I love disc golf, I love glow sticks/ bracelets/ necklaces etc..., I love live music, I love beer, and I love the DSM DG community. Put all of those elements together and it's an exquisite recipe for one hell of a party.
