Evansdale cleanup

Postby CalebP » Thu Aug 25, 2011 3:19 pm

Friday 08/26 after 3 pm.... plans are to play from shorts and trim as we go. Not alot of work to be done, but the short tees are a bit neglected. I have tools if you need, just come out.

Greaty tourny today Caleb!

On that note.

Wind damage at deerwood park: Tree down across the fairway on 7. Tree down on the left edge of 11's fairway. Other than that I don't think its too bad. May have forgotten some.

I very strongly feel that we should leave the large tree on 7 and move the pin. Not by much. Any thoughts? How long has this course remained unchanged? These kind of obstacles and routes end up forming signature holes.

I agree that the tree down on 7 adds a nice new dynamic to the hole. However, I feel that it should be removed for the safety of players. Jut my opinion giggity

that tree is dangerous, it is barely held up. the nest strong windstorm will definitely bring it down. we will need some equipment to get it down or notify the city and see what they can do

Well about that tree. I saw a few people climbing on it and trying to jar it around like idiots. It is dangerous for sure. Also at least 4 of the new signs have been pulled out and thrown around and set back in the holes. Way go to the people that like to destroy the course they play.

I have noticed more chuckers out on the courses then ever before. I seen some guys trying to hang a snake on a basket and I said something to them they just sorta looked the other way. Its going to get worse before it gets better. we need to concrete in those posts on all of them no two ways around it. Im going out their today and if I see some bullshit im going to make sure they understand that we value our courses. Hopefully without having to slap someone 8)
