Great start. I love the idea of a site for a course. The pics of every hole will be great for any upcoming tournys. Only thing I think you should add would be an aerial photo/map.

I'd be happy to capture an aerial image for you. I would need more specific information about where the course is located in that huge park, though.

Kepp they pretty much use the whole park, thats just one of the beautiful things about this course. Who is the course designer? That guy deserves a 12 pack for sure. Once you guys add distances to the pics it will give everyone a better idea of what there looking at. BTW #4 was my favorite love the pin location i would never move that basket Can't wait for a tourney tradition to start up IA golfers will be impressed with Sunnyside.

Does it go south of 14th St. - where should I crop the bottom? Yahoo seems to have the sharpest aerial image between Google, Yahoo, and MS Live ("Bing"). Unfortunately no birds eyes on Live. Those are sweet.

yes i would say so, if you turn west on 14th it takes you into the park, the furthest north would be by the swimming pool. Hole #6 tee runs along the south property line but the fairway is only about 10 ft wide, and doglegs right 90 degrees sick hole might be hard to see from aerial view.

Anybody have more details? Looking for North South East West boundaries. Not sure which landmark the pool is. Thanks for input, Bman. Here's an approx clip - click on it to load Yahoo Maps.

Being a small town we are light years from zooming into a person standing on the teepad. OK here is the boundaries.
First click to last level on zoom scale.
North side use Park Drive. West side use Sunnyside Lane.
East side draw a line that goes north and south right in front of the capital "W" on W 14th St.
South edge bear with me... draw a line right to left starting below the "r" in Teresa Dr. all the way across to "S" in Sunnyside Ln.
You can see a heavy green line on south edge of park, that is the fence line.

Who is the course designer?

That would be the guy in the brown Explorer that told you about Sunday afternoon doubles and watched you throw from 12. Hey Mike, you missing an orange champion roadrunner? Its in a safe place here in Atlantic.

Thanks fsaddle, yes i lost it 1st round and it was gone by the time I got back around to it. I got your voicemail last night thanks for calling. You coming to the DSM Open? I did shake that guys hand he told me you guys had a helluva turnout for the grand opening. You guys should check the tourney calendar and have a one day unsanctioned event if you keep it around $20-$30 they will come.

No, I have not seen an aerial yet. I have been trying to get my hands on a map from a GIS shot but it seems the county offices here are still in the stoneage. Thanks.

Below is a small version of the aerial. The image is a clickable link to the hi-res JPEG version. You can either click on it to view and save, or right-click on the image below and choose save target as... for the hi-res version. If you would like the original PNG file that Corey sent me (highest-res), please email my yahoo email at weskeppy.

Aerial image compliments of Corey Philips.
