Yep. He made the rules for the tour. Maybe suggest that to him.

its only for the players on the card. If you wanna challenge for it you can ask, he dosent have to accept. If he does accept the challenge it goes to whoever beat him on the card first, then whoever wanted to challenge after that.

Seriously though, correct me if I'm wrong but if the dude on the bottom card has the #1 tag and gets housed again, it should go to the tournament winner (or highest finisher in the IT). Not some dude that shot a stroke better on his card.

Rules say that challenges must be accepted during tournaments. But it also says challenges on your card take precedent over challenges from other cards.

The thing that I don't understand is the pooling of bag tags. Lets say there are 3 tags in my card. Shouldn't the person who shoots the best round get the best tag? I could understand not pooling outside of cards but on the same it should be fine.

well I guess I had hoped that when a potential issue arises in an area that you are quite involved in it would insight a little more conversation than "Talk to Shane".

It seems to me that the #1 tag, being what it is, shouldn't operate by the same set of rules, you should constantly be defending it against the field. I can imagine a number of (highly unlikely) situations where I could stack my position in order to retain it.

I shouldn't have to hunt around and try to find the person with the #1 tag as I'm warming pre-tournament with everybody off at different corners of a park just to issue a challenge. It's unrealistic.

But thanks for the input.

"SHANE!!"! has anybody seen Shane?? "SHANE!!"

gee I wonder if he'll read my first post...

if you shoot the best round out of your card, you get the best tag. If you tie, the best tag goes to whoever had the lower one to begin with

I'm fine with the rules Shane has in place. You are making it a potential issue and it didn't need to be a topic for discussion especially 2 tournaments into the season. How about thoughts or suggestions before the tour started?

Well the easy answer is that I didn't think about suggesting it before the tour started.

Isn't one of the reasons the Iowa Tour forum is in place is to obtain feedback from the Iowa Tour Players on how the tour operates?

Okay, good.

also, when would be a "good" time?

By retain it you would have to have had in the first place. When are you ever going to win the #1 tag??

For anyone who wants to win it from AO, he lives in CR, and he isn't going to just give it away. Good luck.

I'm sure Fausch will be devastated.

Your logic here makes as much sense as when you tried convincing 4 people that the loser in a skins match only has to pay the top winner.

Continue with the bludgeoning.
