The cub hate and e-thugging in this thread has been priceless. I guess if your favorite team wins the WS and still gets no respect, you can always turn to the internets.

A+ would read again.

So what's the predictions on Hill this year? Started off slow last year but the second half of his season he looked just as good as any other #2 man in the league. With some of those sick pitches he has, and hitting the corners late in the season I think Hill is going to be looking good this year.

After watching Wood & Prior come up throught the Cubs Org. It is hard to get my hopes up on any Cubbie Newcomer. He defenitely has the stuff to be a top pitcher in the league as long as he stays healthy.

Stop yourself! Only the perennially stupid get excited about spring training games. I'm not going to read another post about the Cubs being "the best team in baseball" until they are at least the best baseball team in Chicago.

Geez. Since everyone is so curious, just wanted to give an update on Prior's comeback. I am as skeptical about it as myself making the big show, but he is making progress. To me that is good news, and worth mentioning, stupidity or not.

The end may be near. Just heard on Around the Horn that Mark Cuban is very interested in purchasing the Cubs for $600+ mil, about $150 mil more than the Cubs net worth. Cuban WILL spend the money to bring the best talent to the team, but whether it will actually happen is another thing. I sure as hell hope not.

I don't care who owns them as long as they win the WS. After watching the last game of the season with my dad, who was on his third bout with the big C, he said he might not ever see them get there, he's been through every heartbreak since '37. Chuck that . I dont care if they fill wrigley with goats, have steve bartman throw out the first pitch or bring back sammy, what ever it takes. Let The Boss by em. anything thing is better than the trib, who only allowed hendry to spent 300 mil because the were sellin them and were only giong to have to pay about 30 of the 300.

Cuban owning the Cubs would be a good thing for you guys. Thats why I said the end may be near (the Cubs actually being a postseason threat.)
