I love watching the Diaz brothers, they rarely disappoint. It's amazing to watch Nick finish fights with just superior cardio, and Nate always fights above expectations. Few fighters capitalize on their strengths the way these two guys do.

Anybody going to watch the WEC fights this weekend? I think Aldo will KO Faber in the first round. Some good matchups in the PPV.

Kinda. He dominated him and probably could have finished him. That last round was pure pity on Aldo's part.

Jose Aldo could be the first 3 weight class champion. I'd love to see him take on BJ or Frankie Edgar.

Either of those two would make for a good fight.

Wow did Aldo dominate that fight

This is Faber's leg today, after reporting that the swelling has went down.

old news, but I still can't believe Jake Shields took this hit and still managed to dominate the remaining 4 rounds....

Jake Shields actually surprised me. He pulled guard on a great wrestler a bunch of times and maintained the control position really well, and never got tired. This, after recovering from that skull-crunching overhand right. He might be an interesting matchup with GSP.

As good as Henderson was, he's old and his back is a nuisance to him these days. The UFC rolled the dice letting Hendo go for Shields and they came up with a yahtzee.

GSP vs. Shields will be a great fight. They have very similar LnP styles. GSP is small compared to Shields....very interesting matchup.

No question UFC should sign Shields and match him against GSP in August or September. There's a lot of good talent at welterweight already - Daly, Kos, Alves, Paulo Thiago - but none of them are anything like Shields. With his neutralizing style he could do well, assuming he survives GSP's speed early (see: Jon Fitch.)

I just rewatched the first Machida Shogun fight, and I'm in the minority who thinks Machida won. Machida was more the aggressor, and landed more blows than just counter leg kicking for five rounds.
Who's everyone got in the rematch?

I'm taking Machida, he looked just a touch out of shape in the first fight, and I bet he is prepared better this time around. If Shogun doesn't want to lose another close decision he has to do something other than leg kick for 25 minutes.

Leg kicks are deciding a lot of fights these days. Machida better have a different game plan because I doubt Shogun will change what worked so well for him the first time. I'm giving Machida the edge this time around because (A.) I can't see the same fight happening twice, and (B.) he seems more well-rounded.

I'm more interested in Koscheck vs. Daly. I'd like to see Kos get his title rematch with GSP, because he matches really well against him.

The 2 main events were kind of a let down, the Machida Shogun fight was looking like it was shaping up to be a classic, then bang its over. Time for a rubber match. Koshek looked impressive though, like he was just toying with Daly.

It sure was nice to see Kimbo exposed for what he it.

Rashad vs Evans seems like a pretty disappointing headline for the next event, Neither can probably beat Machida, let alone have a chance against Shogun.
