Sooo... I've always wanted to golf, but held off bc of the costs, etc. - and stuck to Disc Golf.

Anyway, I've gotten 3 lessons from my coworker Manny, and gone & hit 1 extra bucket of balls on my own so far. Got a loaner bag of old Dunlop irons and drivers from the guy as well. Last night i went to a rural 9 hole course w/ my neighbor Jim, and BAM - show a 56 w/ a par 4 on the first hole & parred it! (not that a 56 is stellar, but I hear I could already beat some hacks in the work league on Monday nights up in Ankeny.)

W00t!!!!

I fully expect to be beating Jim by the end of summer - or at least competing w/ him! Was crushing my Mizuno 3W every bit as far as Jim's driver - that was awesome.

I was watching on Sunday when this happened. You heard a noise and then the camera went on Tiger who was laughing hysterically. I was wondering what the heck was going on.

Somebody ripped one right when Anthon was putting during the finals in KC. It got no reaction.

Tiger's streak of winning 14 major championships while leading going into the final round ended yesterday at the PGA Championship when he was defeated by Y.E. Yang of South Korea.

He kind of beat himself...kudos to Yang.

The new up and coming golfers are no longer Tiger-shy.

He did it again yesterday on a par 3.

Watching the highlights or not so highlights of Tiger putting yesterday makes a man cry. About 10 putts inside of 15-20 just go by the lip. Like the commentators mentioned several times it was amazing that he was still in a position to win. Tiger is still the best golfer in the world for sure. Granted he's is coming back from surgery, and has 5 wins on the year. But after yesterday one has to think that he is becoming more vulnerable, or more human like. Depending on how you want to put it.

I tell you it sucked watching on TV. Once they got down to the last few pairings, they'd show 2 shots, then 7 commercials. If I see that goddamn dog worrying about his bone one more time I'm going to shoot myself. (it was funny the first time)

I can't watch golf or football without having it on DVR and skipping the commercials. Hell, golf or football, really *anything* these days.
