No one is immune. Just because you haven't contracted it in the past, doesn't mean you won't get it in the future.

I used to get a break-out 5-6 time a season, but the last two years have been dramatically different. Either I have learned how to avoid it, or I'm spending less time in the rough.

Your immunity level to the poison changes as your body does. So throughout your life your body will combat the poison at differing levels, leading you to think that you've contracted an allergy, or perhaps gotten rid of it. A good policy is to always try and avoid it the best you can, and rinse with cold water whenever possible.

I have had similar luck the last few years, but I'm chalking it up to Ivy Block.

I thought I was immune until I decided to weed whack every wooded hole at Peninsula in a week. When you weed whack those spores fly every which way and no amount of rinsing and product will get it all off. Ever since then I get it quite easily. The only time I got it last year was when we would play GVCC or Ewing and I thought I didn't get into it so I didn't shower. It then gets into your sheets and you will continually get it all over until you wash your sheets. Now I take a shower when I get home regardless if I think I got into it or not, I also use the ivy scrub I got from Kane (Mere Gear), they work great. Plus a show after the round makes it easier to get some from the wife
