I didn't think they'd overturn it. Not in a million years. Not because I think it was the wrong call (it wasn't) I just don't expect Iowa to get that call. Especially in that game... I figured we'd be lucky to get out of the review without a personal foul.

And also remeber that Stanzi has won more bowl games than ISU has in the history of their program.

Well thats not even close to true.

I apologize you are right.

ISU is 3-7 and Ricky is 3-0 so they are tied.

Sore loser said wha? I agree tho. Mizzou is better than Iowa's reg. season starters. But worse than their backups backup

Sore? Perhaps, but really trying to be honest here. Congrats to Iowa to doing what it had to do to win the game. But Mizzou is/was the better team. They play 10 times, Mizzou probably wins 7-8 of them. Mizzou mistakes directly gave 7 pts. to Iowa in the fourth quarter and took 7 pts. away from Mizzou right before half. I think Iowa pretty much played a perfect first half, and then held on for dear life in the second half and got a gift-wrapped victory from Gabbert, who otherwise had a brilliant game. Stanzi's mistakes didn't cost Iowa much. I still have problems seeing how Stanzi is much more than a 5th round NFL pick.

The game worked out the way that Iowa needed it to. They got off to a great start and held on. Had Mizzou jumped up 17-3 on Iowa, I don't think the Hawks would have been able to ride Stanzi to win. Coker was HUGE in the first half.

Bowl games are a bit silly anyway. You play all season having one week (perhaps two) to prepare for an opponent, and then you wait a month or more to play the last one. Until there's a playoff, all this crap is conjecture anyway.

Football is exactly like poker. Two people can sit in the same game, play completely contrasting styles and end up with the same result. Iowa plays a lot less hands, bets smaller, doesn't check-raise, while Missouri plays big, bets big, but are gonna get picked off figuratively and literally by the nuts now and then. It's a high-risk, high-reward style. I wouldn't equate it to better though. Could they win 7 or 8 out of 10, absolutely, but if they played 10 sets of 10, I wouldn't be surprised if Iowa had some with 7-8 wins.

tl:dr

"bla bla Iowa wouldn't have won unless the ______ and Mizzou and Gobbles are so tight etc etc"

Seriously Chap... If I were a better disc golfer than Tanner I'd beat him 7-10 times. I could name 99 ways I could('ve) do it too.

Sorry your team didn't show up for it's most important game of the year. I guess it's easier to say they gave it away? Bit of a stretch I know, but it may actually be indicative of them not being as good as the team they lost to. Hard to believe I'm sure...

Yeah, I hear the "best team lost" excuse every week, in every sport. I bet Mizzou could beat Iowa at some point, but saying they would win 7-8/10 is laughable. Just because Mizzou had a good year, in conference, doesnt mean jack. The Big 12 was a joke this year. They would be the worse conference in football if the Big East had gotten Nuked. I really hope Oklahoma gets a beating by UConn. I was looking forward to Neb coming in, cuz they looked somewhat decent. But not anymore.

And held on for dear life in the 2nd half...? Is that what most teams do with a comfortable lead? Iowa dominated the whole game, except for the one series they were behind. Id say Mizzou was fighting for dear life...

Welcome to the Legend division Nebraska. You'll fit right in with the rest of wannabees in the Big 10. Once again, alot of hype and not much substance. I'd almost put the Big east ahead of the Big 10.
