Iowa does the same thing with thier basktball program. They schedule these "patsies" to run up their record to like 8-0 to start the season, then get into playing quality teams and end up 12-12 or so. Hard to get all excited about college sports until the teams get to the conference schedules. I'd much rather see more conference games and get rid of these "ego" games!

At least every top 50 team does this. Illinois is 100x more guilty of doing this than Iowa is. We play everyone in the conference twice, you want more?

and iowa state loses to everyone in their conference which is why the patsies must be scheduled or else ia state loses there football program due to lack of fan support, i mean who wants to go to 12 losing game a year. atleast they got two wins this year

IL more guilty? Doubtful. The Big 12 team they already played will dominate the Clowns. And Eastern IL and LA-Lafayette are probably better than ME or those ass hats IA played Saturday. Or maybe IA is just that good........but I doubt that too.

You must be talking about basketball in your second comment.

Actually if you followed Iowa football you would see that this is not the case. We actually had Mizzori on our scheduale and we were supposed to play them last year and this year but they backed out on us. Next year we get Arizona.

yeah, count your blessings chumps. I'm pretty sure they backed out because they didn't want to weaken their schedule that much.

The funny thing is, they backed out because of our 3 10 win seasons. LMAO they would have killed us, instead they had to deal with the illini which didnt matter but the illini were a much more improved team.

Thanks for proving my point that they were improving their strength of schedule. You can believe whatever you want to believe. God forbid some team snubs the mighty Hawkeyes. Must make the masses feel better to say Mizzou was scurred. Whatever. We were in position to contend for a national title last year, so I hardly think they were scurred. I can just see your scenario playing itself out.....some AD's were sitting around planning schedules, and said, "OH shit, they won 10 games the last 3 years in a row----we better steer clear of 'dem Hawks!"

Get real. Mizzou has WAY bigger fish to fry than these chokers.

Thats the Scenrio not mine. They wanted an easier team and it backfired. They were scurrrrrrrrrred and you know it. Just like the illini should be scurrrrrred yet again when they play the hawks. They Zooker will be 0-6 against Ferentz after this year.
